We work to create decent livelihoods for smallholder processors, farmers and rural communities by focussing on feasible sustainable agrifood solutions.

In 2010, Ms. Nguyen Kim Thanh - Senior Sustainable Seafood Consultant who holds a Master in Agricultural Production Chain Management from Van Hall Larenstein University (The Netherlands), founded Kim Delta with the mission to assist Mekong Delta farmers and food processors in capturing various certification schemes. 

10 years later, in 2020, Mr. Steven Starmans - Senior Sustainable Agriculture Consultant, took the Director role of the company. Since then, Kim Delta has concentrated more on providing small farmers and rural communities with real, sustainable agrifood solutions in order to help them establish decent livelihoods.

In 2024 Kim Delta changed its registration to become a Social Enterprise. For us it means that we officially commit to reinvest at least 51% of our profit into our community service projects and regularly report to the Vietnamese government on our activities.

Kim Delta's project area is concentrated mainly in the Mekong Delta provinces. We offer agriculture and aquaculture solutions to cooperatives, processing businesses, and farms of all sizes. In addition, we also work on numerous initiatives to respond to climate change and recycle waste. A few of our projects include FIP Vung Tau, Waste study project of The Netherlands embassy, The Mekong Salt Lab, etc.
