The Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) aims to enhance sustainable fisheries in Vietnam, with a particular emphasis on the fishmeal business. The project's main purpose is to seek a solution in order to preserve the long-term sustainability of fishmeal supplies, which rely on a healthy natural resource base and lawful, fair, and equitable social behaviors. (fishery sustainable).

FIP Vung Tau is the first FIP of Kim Delta, as well as the first multispecies FIP in Vietnam. It took years, many hours, and some money to start the project. But here it is, in February of 2022, FIP Vung Tau is published on Fishery Progress and the MarinTrust website. This is the first step for 'our' fishmeal & fish oil companies can start the process for certification. There is still a lot to do, but with the effort of all the stakeholders in the project, there are opportunities for fishmeal & fish oil companies to touch the tough market and  assist the fisheries to become "sustainable."
