The demand for food safety and quality control from consumers across the globe is growing rapidly. These are the challenges and also opportunities for farmers. Therefore a project named CoopEnable has been built to assist Mekong farmers to enhance competing capability by establishing model cooperatives following GLOBALG.A.P standards. 

In this project, Kim Delta has provided consulting and training for 6 cooperatives in Mekong Delta (Can Tho, Hau Giang, Tien Giang, Dong Thap) to prepare for the GLOBALG.A.P certification audit. The final outcomes are: 

• 2 Cooperatives are GLOBALG.A.P certified; 4 Cooperatives complete internal audit against GLOBALG.A.P standard

• 30 experts from 4 provinces are trained for GLOBALG.A.P internal audits.

• 1000 farmers of the 4 provinces are trained for GLOBALG.A.P standards.
